Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification – C&G 2392- 10

Course Details

This is a fundamental electrical training course designed as an introduction for the inspection, testing and initial verification (not certification) of electrical systems. It will give candidates the ability to test newly installed electrical circuits. The 2392 course allows people to carry out inspection and testing in only low voltage single phase domestic applications.

We strongly recommend that delegates, who wish to attend this course, should have passed the 17th Edition, the 2382-20 or equivalent. In addition we recommend that delegates who wish to attend this course, have an understanding of electrical theory, current electrical definitions and terminologies, with a working knowledge of electrical installations.

Who Should Attend

Specifically aimed at working Electricians and others working in the electrical industry with no formal qualifications who have limited or no experience in carrying out initial verification and additionally, carrying out functional testing and interpreting test results.

  • Overview of Part 6/Chapter 61 BS 7671:2008
  • The Processes Involved in Initial Verification
  • The Visual Inspection
  • The Correct Sequence of Functional Testing
  • Carrying out Functional Testing
  • Evaluating and Interpreting Test Results
  • Completion of the Installation Test Certificates and the Schedules of Tests

*Candidates need to bring copies of the IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition: (BS 7671:2008) Requirements for Electrical Installations and Guidance Note 3 Inspection & Testing with them.
